Financial Security & Freedom - Thought To Consider When Presenting

January 13, 20252 min read

When presenting to a potential recruit and customer, incorporating the emotional drivers of financial security and freedom often helps them envision a workable pathway in your offer. Here are 6 ways I've found that help create successful presentations:

𝟭. 𝗜 𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗮𝘀𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝗽𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘄𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀. I focus more on how the compensation plan can provide reliable, recurring income (e.g., monthly commissions or bonuses) rather than immediate cash flow. I think prospects often worry about their financial instability; and knowing they can accomplish a baseline level of earning potential helps them feel more secure. I also make sure they understand that their earnings are capped only by their effort and they are in control of scaling their income - not a boss or company.

𝟮. 𝗜 𝗮𝗹𝘀𝗼 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗽𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. I usually start with "bill paying" flexibility showing them how even a modest side income can solve some of their monthly debt. At the same time, I stress the fact that 𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘁𝘆𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗱𝗲𝗯𝘁 𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 and their dreams of vacations, new cars, etc. must take second seat to this.

𝟯. 𝗜 𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗹𝗲 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝘅𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. I emphasize the importance of family events and how being able to control their daily schedule is the core of true freedom. I emphasize the work from home model that allows the removal of the 9-5 job boundaries.

𝟰. 𝗕𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽, 𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝘄𝗼𝗻'𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲. Here's where I take advantage of success stories within the organization. I make sure they hear about people that have replaced or surpassed their job income and now teach others how to follow their pattern.

𝟱. 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘀 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗶𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗱𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀. I talk about the peace of mind they would enjoy knowing that credit card bills are paid in full each month and that the emergency fund they had talked about for years can now become a reality.

𝟲. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗜 𝘁𝗿𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗱𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲. I so this by sharing my "why" and a small part of my story. I talk about how earning financial freedom brings me immense personal satisfaction and reinforces my confidence in my family's future outlook. And, in the same breath, I relay the fact that this opportunity can do the exact thing for them and their family.

Your oveall objective is to recognize that whether it’s covering immediate expenses or building a legacy-level income, financial security and freedom lie at the heart of many people’s decisions to join you. If you paint a vivid picture of how your opportunity addresses their needs, your prospect will envision a compelling path from where they are now to a more fulfilling future by joining you.
